Princeton's calls are shaped by the university, the historic streets and heavy event traffic. Buses and motor coaches stall near campus, delivery trucks block Nassau Street and Palmer Square, tractor-trailers get lost on narrow streets, and construction trucks work on large renovation projects. Route 27, US 1 and Route 206 bring highway breakdowns to the edges.
Princeton's university calendar defines its truck traffic: move-in days, reunions and commencement fill the streets with moving trucks and buses. Winter storms slow Route 27 and US 1, and heavy summer rain floods low spots near the lake and canal.
Give dispatch the street, the nearest cross street and the building or landmark. If you are in a campus lot, give the lot name. In event traffic, mention any road closures so we can plan the approach.
In Princeton we work the roads that actually serve the area, including Route 27, US 1 and Route 206. We also respond in nearby Princeton Junction, Kingston, Rocky Hill and Hopewell and across the rest of Central NJ.
