Watchung's hills and winding roads make heavy tows more complicated than they are on the flat. We tow box trucks, delivery trucks, buses, tractor-trailers and work trucks around Route 22, Mountain Boulevard and the borough streets.
A live dispatcher answers every call, for towing and for recovery. Call 800-624-6079 and a wrecker starts moving toward Watchung.
Watchung is a hilly Somerset County borough on the Watchung Mountains, with Route 22 nearby and Mountain Boulevard as a main road. The Watchung Reservation is to the east. Steep, winding roads make heavy tows more complicated, and our crews are used to them.
If it is too big or too heavy for a standard tow truck, we tow it in Watchung. Our heavy duty towing services in Watchung include:
When a truck or trailer leaves the road, a tow is not enough. Our heavy recovery services in Watchung include:
We also provide heavy duty recovery across Central NJ, mobile truck repair, mobile crane service, secure storage at our Hillsborough yard and equipment transport in Watchung across Somerset County.
Watchung's hilly roads and the Route 22 corridor produce calls of two kinds. On the highway, tractor-trailers and box trucks break down in fast traffic. On the Watchung Mountain roads, landscape trucks, buses and delivery trucks lose traction or brakes on steep curves. Wet leaves and winter ice add to the risk.
Watchung's ridge catches ice and wet snow early, and the winding Mountain Boulevard approaches become slick quickly. Fall leaves cover the curves, and summer thunderstorms bring limbs and runoff across the narrow streets.
Give us the road name, the nearest cross street and whether you are on a slope. On Route 22, give your direction. We will bring a wrecker that can handle the grade and take the time to secure the truck properly.
In Watchung we work the roads that actually serve the area, including Mountain Boulevard and Route 22. We also respond in nearby Warren, Mountainside, Martinsville and Bridgewater and across the rest of Central NJ.

Dave's has served Central New Jersey since 1975 and runs rotators, heavy wreckers and heavy haul trailers from its own yard. Our team has more than 100 years of combined towing and recovery experience and is often called for the most complex jobs.
Heavy duty towing covers vehicles that are too big or too heavy for a standard tow truck, such as semi trucks, tractor-trailers, buses, motor coaches, RVs, dump trucks, garbage trucks and fire trucks. It takes a heavy wrecker or rotator, trained operators and the right rigging, which is what we run out of our Hillsborough yard.
Semi trucks and tractor-trailers are a big part of our work. We tow tractors, loaded and empty trailers and full combinations, and we can handle load shifts, load transfers and trailer storage when a trailer cannot be moved on its own.
