Heavy duty towing in Baptistown is a rural job, and Dave's Heavy Towing sends equipment that can handle narrow shoulders and farm lane entrances. We tow dump trucks, box trucks, school buses and tractor-trailers from Franklin Township and the surrounding western Hunterdon countryside.
A live dispatcher answers every call, for towing and for recovery. Call 800-624-6079 and a wrecker starts moving toward Baptistown.
Baptistown is a small crossroads community in Franklin Township, a few miles from the Delaware River and the village of Frenchtown. Traffic is lighter than on the interstates, but the back roads are tight, and a stuck truck can block the only way through. Call 800-624-6079 and tell dispatch the nearest road name, since there is not much else out here to use as a landmark.
If it is too big or too heavy for a standard tow truck, we tow it in Baptistown. Our heavy duty towing services in Baptistown include:
When a truck or trailer leaves the road, a tow is not enough. Our heavy recovery services in Baptistown include:
We also provide heavy duty recovery across Central NJ, mobile truck repair, mobile crane service, secure storage at our Hillsborough yard and equipment transport in Baptistown across Hunterdon County.
Calls around Baptistown tend to involve farm and construction traffic. Dump trucks heading to quarry and fill jobs, hay trucks in the summer and landscaping trucks in the spring all work these roads, and a loaded truck that drops a wheel off the edge of a narrow lane is a typical call. Snowy mornings add school buses that slide on the hills toward Frenchtown.
Spring thaw is when Baptistown's back roads turn soft, and fully loaded dump trucks and farm trucks sink to the axles at the road edge. Late summer brings hay and produce hauling on narrow lanes. In winter, shaded hills near the Delaware stay icy long after the main roads are clear.
Cell service can be patchy in the Delaware River hills, so if your call drops, text or call back from the same spot and give a road name rather than a street number. Many farm roads here have no sign visible from the cab, so look for the nearest intersection or farm name and tell dispatch. We will keep you on the line until the wrecker is close.
In Baptistown we work the roads that actually serve the area, including Route 12 and Route 579. We also respond in nearby Quakertown, Pittstown, Stockton and Lebanon and across the rest of Central NJ.

A rotator is a heavy wrecker with a boom that can swing a full circle, which lets it lift and place very heavy loads without moving the truck. It is used for rolled trucks, buses, loaded trailers and recoveries on soft or sloped ground. Our fleet includes a 60 ton rotator.
We handle rollover recovery, ditch and embankment recovery, off road winching and up-righting. We can use air cushions on some recoveries to protect the cargo and avoid unloading the trailer.
