Liberty Corner sits close to I-78 and the Basking Ridge border, so many calls start on the interstate or its ramps. Tractor-trailers with tire and brake trouble, box trucks that overheat, and buses that stall are typical. On the quiet roads nearby, landscape trucks and dump trucks slide off soft shoulders.
Liberty Corner's quiet roads and the nearby I-78 ramps behave differently in storms. The highway clears first, while the side roads stay icy or flooded, and trucks that exit to wait out a storm sometimes find themselves stuck on a slick shoulder.
If you are on I-78, give dispatch the nearest exit, your direction and whether you are on the shoulder or in a lane. On local roads, give the road name and the nearest cross street. We will confirm the wrecker and keep you updated on arrival.
